5,000,000 CLICKS!

Hi every one

I am writing this blog about my favorite book being made into a movie, the book is called “Maximum Ride” by James Patterson. In order for the movie to be made, the author’s website must get 5,000,000 clicks. Go to maximumride.com and click on the little wings that say “click for the movie>>>” so this movie can be made. If the movie is made, you won’t be disappointed when you watch it.

Tell your friends about this.

PEACE!

Saturated mixture: A saturated mixture is a liquid that had another ingredient added such as a powder or another liquid until the liquid can no longer hold anything else. If another ingredient is added it will go straight to the bottom of the thing that is containing it.

Non-Saturaded mixture: A non-saturated mixture is a mixture that has enough room for other ingredients like chocolate syrup or juice crystals

Homogeneous mixture: A homogeneous mixture is made up of two substances that are combined and look and feel like one object.

Heterogeneous Mixture: A heterogeneous mixture is made up of one or more particles that if you break it apart you can see each one of them clearly.

Blogician Questions

How does blogging help you make friends?

When you are blogging in class your teacher might set up a project or with you and some students from other countries like my teacher did. We started writing blogs back and forth to each other and letting the other person know our names and interests and things like that. Eventually you will probably make at least one friend, I made a few from the project our class is doing right now.

Even if your teacher doesn’t set up a project like that, other people can still read your blogs and tell their friends about it and maybe that friend will tell someone from out of town about it and it would just keep going like that.

It is very easy to make friends by blogging, I’m sure you will make a few soon if you haven’t already.

How have other people’s comments helped you in blogging?

People’s comments help me blog because the comments are usually constructive criticism or compliments. When people comment on your blog it is either because they like it or they don’t like it, either way you it can help you out.

How do you respond to other blogs (what sequence)?

When I give comments on a blog I try to give constructive criticism about how it can be improved, unless I think it’s perfect then I tell how perfect it is.

What are some tips on how to proofread on a blog?

When I want to proof read a blog I copy and paste it onto Microsoft Word because it underlines all of the misspelled words and word that don’t belong. After everything is all corrected I copy and paste it back onto my blog.

Global warming video

I was looking up some pictures for something I was working on when I came across the video…

International Teen Life Project

I would like to do a project on cheating in sports in professional leagues. I would like to do a video with clips of people cheating in movies, people examples of cheating, and actual cheating in professional leagues. People can cheat by taking steroids and using someone else’s urine sample, also people can pay a referee to make bad calls on the opponents and good calls on their own team.

Christmas break

For the two weeks we had off school I didn’t do that much. The first week consisted of baby sitting and going out for two or three hours after I was done. The second week of the break I didn’t have to baby-sit all that much because my dad was in town. When I moved here my dad had to stay and work where we used to live in Thompson and when he is off work he comes here until he has to go back and when he isn’t here I baby-sit my brothers while my mom is at work. When my dad was in town I took advantage of being able to go out and I slept out almost every night and when I couldn’t sleep at somebody’s house I got someone to sleep at mine. Yeah so my break wasn’t all that interesting but I did get allot of the stuff I wanted for Christmas. I didn’t want much for Christmas, I got a pair of shoes from my uncle that I wanted for a very long time and they are called hurricain310s and that was my favorite gift. I also got a bike, a portable dvd player and a very nice watch that says 2pac on the face and has no numbers instead they are replaced with diamonds (not real sadly) and the outside of the face of the watch has diamonds going around it. One thing I’m very excited about is getting a laptop from my parents and ipod from my uncle because I have never had either of them and have always wanted both, they are both coming in the mail right now. I’m hoping they come in soon though because I want to get allot of music on my ipod and I need to install msn on the laptop because I am going to London, Ontario for spring break and summer break to see my uncle (the same one who has been spoiling me with the shoed and ipod). Well that’s what my break was. I’m out for now. l8er

All you need to know about me

My name is Josh and I am 14 years old. I am in grade eight and I go to Joseph H Kerr School. During winter there isn’t much for me to do for fun because I’m not the type of person who usually has snowball fights or plays hockey…pretty weird for a Canadian huh? I usually stay after school and play basketball for a bit and that’s about the only thing I can do for fun during winter. In the summer I play basketball almost every single day because it is my favorite sport and even though I am only five foot three I’m still one of the best players in my class. In my class there are only a couple people who play basketball.

My class consists of two 2 grades which is 7 and 8. My teachers name is Mr. Fisher and there are 17 students in my class room. We learn all of the basic classes like math and L.A and stuff like that. We don’t have any special classes.

In the school there are roughly 165 students and that includes the high school.

In Snow Lake there aren’t any malls or anything like that but there is a youth center that isn’t that far from the school. Snow Lake is a small community but that isn’t always a bad thing because there isn’t much crimes being committed here at all, if you want to go somewhere and you don’t have a ride you don’t have to walk very far because of the size of the town.

There is talk of the mine here opening up again and that concerns me because a lot of people will probably be moving here to get a job at the mine and that might increase the crime rate, but then again if more people do move here maybe the town will open up more things like stores and maybe we might even get a little mall. If the mine does re-open there will a lot more pollution and that would be pulling global warming that much closer to happening.

An Inconvenient Truth

Hello I’m posting my first blog about a movie I watched in class 4 days ago on Monday. The movie was called An incovenient truth. It was about global warming with Al Gore giving a lecture to large group of people about it .When I was watching it I learned allot of things that I didn’t know before. I didn’t know that the 10 hottest years were all in the last 14 years and the hottest one was 2005. I also learned global warming not only causes floods but it also causes droughts. Another thing that Al Gore talked about that I didn’t know was when water is warming it causes stonger winds. Something that had nothing to do with global warming but I still found it interesting was Al Gore crashed and totalled his family’s car when he was my age (14).

I saw some Images on the movie that I thought looked interesting like earthrise, earthrise

how different the glaciers look now compared to a couple years ago, glacier melting

and the north pole melting leaving polar bears swimming around for days looking for a big chunk of ice to rest on.
